Below is what we call an unloader track which is designed to operate Lionel action cars like the milk car etc. does not have uncoupler capabilities needs a switch at your control station to make it work.
This uncoupler track is used only for uncoupling of cars. It requires some kind of switch to make it work,
This one does both functions of uncoupling and unloading with 2 different switches
About controllers:
This guy was made to control the unload and uncoupler track. It has 2 leaf switches inside and by design if you push both buttons at the same time it will short out. Lots of troubles with these. For the unloader only or uncoupler only you only need to use a push button switch like a doorbell switch
This guy is our advanced controller that will operate any of the above tracks but is really best for the combination unload, uncoupler tracks. each controller will operate 2 separate combination tracks. A lot of those great Lionel car toys take quite some time to complete their cycle, where some operate almost instantly. The way they work is when the center toggle switches are pointed to the push buttons, the track for both the unload and uncouple will operate. If you flip the switch towards the LEDs The LED will turn on and the track will continue to operate until you turn the toggle switch off. They come with either 8’ of cables or 25’
We offer this controller just as shown with a kit that includes one unloader track and one uncoupler/unloader track, or with 2 uncoupler unloader tracks.
It is also available without the tracks, however you will need to make an easy modification to your unloader/uncoupler tracks. Directions are included.
The below is our O27 combination uncoupler/ unloader and uncoupler set with a reconditioned controller with 8’ of cable the large push button just operates the uncoupler track.
