Today our switches can be purchased with a variety of options to meet most any need you may have. Specifically:
• With the standard flip lever controller and our new LED’s in either 8’ or 25’ heavy duty cable options
• With our new advanced green button controller which will control both switches from a single controller, also available in 8’ or 25’ heavy duty cable options
• With our new advanced green button controller with additional switching to accommodate powering up spurs for the purpose of parking spare engines or cars. These also are available with either 8’ or 25’ heavy duty cables.

O72 switch repairs you can do
Lately we have been getting a lot of O72 switches for refurbishing that have significant internal switch issues. Specifically the copper contacts on the switch bases are wearing thru to the point where they will not make proper contacts, and causing switch failure. In addition the contact points are also wearing thru to the point where they are all but worthless. In many cases they got to the point where they could be considered fubar.
We now have a solution to these problems, and will cause the switches to switch light lightning and stay locked. The solution will require making a modification to the electronics in the switches and purchasing our new O72 controller. So here is what you can do to fix your switches the picture is for an O22 switch but the mod is exactly the same for the O72’s. You will need to add 2 jumpers to short out the contacts shown here. You can use some thin solid wire 20 gauge or so.
If the switch contacts are dragging or are bent either cut them off or bend up. You will then need to order our O72 switch conversion controller, install it per instructions and you are done!
